The trip however was, thanks to George who informed us frequently about the park, the animals and all details to see, really excellent! So, though this of course cannot be guaranteed, we've seen "the big three" and many others. The other two out of the big five we didn't "complete" for good reasons: the leopard is rare to be seen in every game park and the elephant doesn't live in the park. Luckily the excursion to the elephant orphanage compensated the final one. The visit to the giraffe center (pretty touristic...) and two unplanned but relevant visits to local stores, made the trip complete. The time planning of the driver was perfect adjusted to the expected rush on every location. It really felt the driver was in to to serve us a memorable day which was succesfull

My driver, Nuru, picked me up from my hotel and was full of chat for the drive, his car was also very... read more comfy which was great as it’s 2 hours each way. When we got to Hell’s Gate park it turned out it was just me on the tour so I ended up getting private tour. Jared was my park guide for the bike tour & gorge walk, he was also so friendly and able to answer all my questions & gave me lots of extra information on both the park & animals.
As it was just myself on the tour (solo female traveller) I felt completely at ease from start to finish. It was just like hanging out with friends for the day, so much chat & laughs!
